"Jesus the Sin Eraser" Object Lesson
Greet students, and if desired hand each one a plain sail of paper and a pencil.
Hello! So what do we take here?
Look, I accept this squeamish white sheet of newspaper. Information technology'due south so fresh and clean! You know, when God start made the world, He hoped it would be fresh and make clean like this. However, something bad happened because sin entered the world. Exercise you lot know what sin is?
Sins are the yucky things that we practise when we disobey God. Sometimes we don't mind to our parents, or our teachers, or we do things nosotros know we shouldn't practise. That's all sin. And sin makes God sorry! He knows it is not practiced for our lives or our human relationship with Him. So it's sort of like this pretty paper got messed up (Outset scribbling all over the newspaper).
Go ahead, make a mess on your paper besides! (Allow kids to draw or scribble on their papers). And I might endeavour to fix this mess…just information technology merely keeps getting worse (scribble more). Phew! Now it's all grayness and icky.
Fortunately, I accept something that might help! (hold upwards eraser) Wait at this lovely pink eraser. It's fresh and clean. Perchance the eraser tin help get rid of all these marks. Let's try it (let kids to watch every bit you scrub and erase the pencil abroad from the paper).
